In 2008, I signed up for a Portfolio Review session because I had never had the opportunity to hear an unbiased review of my work before and was curious about a certain series I had been working on for several months. FotoWeek also made it very easy.
My reviewer, photographer Connie Imboden, made helpful suggestions that I have implemented in my work ever since. This type of impartial, unbiased feedback from a professional perspective was exactly what I was looking for.
Show your portfolio, get feedback or advice on its structure, seek marketing advice, or propose an illustrated article, photo essay, and book or exhibit idea from one of the photographic professionals during the next session of FotoWeek Portfolio Reviews at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design.
20 reviewers from institutions all over the United States, including major DC fixtures like the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, and The Washington Post. Be sure to take a look at the list of reviewers that includes info on their backgrounds and affiliations to determine the best fit for you, your work, and your goals. Also, be sure to carefully look over the guidelines on to make the best use of your reviewer’s time and of your own.
